The Laltex Group is founded in Hong Kong by Mr J. Mulchand, father to R,J. Mulchand

UK division of Laltex Group is established. L-R Eric Fog, Daraius Sorabji, Kumar Bhavani, Bill Beltell and R.J. Mulchand.

First UK Premises purchased - Laltex Group purchase their first ever UK premises. Laltex House, 1 Canal Street, Manchester

Laltex give Tesco a lift - Tesco board of directors are flown by 'Laltex Air' helicopter to the opening of their new store in Irlam, Manchester.

Laltex Group acquire Kingsonic Ltd, requiring their first big move - to Derby Street Manchester, a 10,000sqft warehouse facility. Kingsonic later rebranded as KS Brands Ltd.

Kingsonic Ads hit feverpitch - Kingsonic produce a variety of interesting advertising campaigns throughout the 80s - including billboard spots, pitchside at Old Trafford and match day sponsoring at Tottenham Hotspur.

Laltex Acquires Lloytron - Laltex Group acquire Llotytron Electronics Ltd, which rebrands as Lloytron plc and Sun Coast Merchandise Corporation Los Angeles, USA.

Kingsonic & The World Cup - Kingsonic are one of the sponsers of The World Cup 1982 and produce a football radio with the signatures of the England team. It launches at Wembley with players Steve Coppell, Phil Neal and Ray Clemence pictured with Ivor Joseph of Kingsonic. England fail to qualify!

The Mulchand Foundation

The Mulchand family, owners of The Laltex Group, established the charitable foundation to support organisations. The Laltex Group has been friends of the Seashell Trust for almost 10 years and most recently the Mustard Tree.

The Seashell Trust is a national charity that supports those with severe and complex learning disabilities combined with significant communication difficulties which include little or no oral language.

Mustard Tree is a Manchester based charity supporting those who are marginalised and homeless by promoting sustainable solutions through the provision of food, clothing, furniture, training and enterprise.
